Wow! 1 year. We didn't even figure it out until we were speaking about what we were going to put in this month's newsletter! Rachel and I looked at each other like, wow 1 year. This has been a dream come true for me. It's the first time in my life that I get to get up every morning and do what I love. We thank you our customers and clients, our "Tribe" for making this happen. The word grateful doesn't even cover it.

This is probably one of the most important newsletters to date when it comes to info. In February a study was released of a review of all essential oils and their cancer properties. We have also connected with an oil "farmer" in South Africa which will change the way we do business and we have recently received some pictures of our success stories.

We will be having a birthday "party" at the store on 4/22/22. We will post about it at a later date.

Essential Oils as anticancer agents: A review

February 2022 the Journal of Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapy published an review titled: Essential oils as anticancer agents: Potential role in malignancies, drug delivery mechanisms, and immune system enhancement

This is a 36 page review of all the studies of essential oils in cancer therapy from around the world. They have taken research from 2011 to 2020 in over 1,500 publications and put them in one document.

There is a lot of information in here that is very helpful. We realize it is a lot to go though so we made an easy to read chart that we have also included in this newsletter.

What is most important to understand is that plants have genus and species, and in oils they can be called chemotypes, or different kinds of the same plant. For instance, the Frankincense we all usually get is Boswellia carterii, but the study states that Frankincense from Boswellia sacra is where the studies are. It is also important to note that sometimes, it's the main chemical constituents of the plant that perform the action and not the oil in its complexity. In the study they do name certain chemical constituents and certain types of cells they were targeting.

We want to make sure that you understand that this list doesn't mean that these oils will cure cancer, it simply shows that there is positive research with oils and certain cancers that may be valuable when taking an integrative approach to cancer care.

Essential Oil News

When you decide to go to school for Clinical Aromatherapy, one of the first issues that arise is the cost of the oils. You go to the distributors your teachers tell you, you shop amazon etc. Then you start to realize that if you buy in bulk your prices go down. So you then start to really look at your formulas and your shop and see what you need. You are in business.
Then you start doing this for a few years, your name gets out in the industry and all of the sudden people come and seek you out to buy their oils. Except they aren't the distributors, they are the farmers. They understand that you understand their work, the respect for their craft and how oils affect the environment and sustainability issues.
You get excited to see what they offer. You get the new pricing. Your mouth drops open. You learn that many essential oils companies have a significant markup on the oils before it goes to market. As a business person first, you understand markup and overhead, but this is still well, over the top.

The one thing I have learned in life and business is if you do the right thing, money will come. I have stood by that motto since I was a little girl watching my grandfather, the first US treasurer of SONY corporation, work his magic.
I don't know if I want to get into the oil business, I really don't. But I do know that this is a complementary and integrative modality that works for many different conditions. I also hear that sometimes cost gets in the way.
I want to stop that, at least for all of you that have become part of this group.
When I get my new shipments in, I am going to be offering 10ml bottles of oil lower than anything you can find on the internet at this point. Lower than the lowest guys. I will not be sacrificing quality, as all my lots will have proper GCMS testing.
I am going no frills. No fancy labels, just our usual Faeve label with the oil written on it. If you want the GCMS we can do that as well.
However, our prices will be extraordinary as will the oils: think 10 mls of Lemon Oil for $6.00, the lowest priced quality lemon on the market right now is going for $7.95. We want to try just giving you the product without the marketing, making pricing reasonable and affordable.
We will start with a few different oils.

Deborah Waddell is a retired environmental scientist, focusing on the natural cleanup of toxic sites utilizing Bioremediation that was developed by her company. Deborah offered educational programs designed to assist individuals in changing their health and longevity outcomes through improved diet and lifestyle habits and to educate health care professionals about how to use diet and lifestyle for preventing, reversing, and stopping the progression of degenerative disease.

She will be speaking on one of her favorite topics of using plants as a lifestyle choice.

Before and after herbal salve:

This rash came into the store in the mid part of March. The customer had gotten a rash from Covid and the doctors called it "dermatitis".
