New Study: Effect of aromatherapy on sleep quality of adults and elderly people: A systematic literature review and meta-analysis

In a study published in the Complementary Therapies in Medicine in August 2021, researchers did a literature review on the effect Aromatherapy had on sleep. The results were extremely positive. The highlights are:

The combined overall effect size of sleep quality of 30 studies was moderate, which was statistically significant.

•

The effect size of stress, pain, anxiety, depression, and fatigue decreased significantly after aromatherapy.

•

Our research findings may be used as to create a standard protocol in future interventions to improve sleep quality.

This give us great hope that these studies will continue with what we already know!
