Happy St. Patrick's Day Month! Faeve's name comes 5 generations of Irish women in Meredith's family. It is also Endometriosis Awareness Month, which the staff of Faeve is passionate about. According to Dr. Google, it is also National Celery month! Wash that green beer down with some celery! It's bound to be amazing!

Essential Oils and Neuroprotective Remedies

In early 2021, there was literature review completed analyzing the efficacy of certain essential oils on four common age related neurodegenerative diseases: Alzheimer's Disease (AD), Huntington's disease (HD), Parkinson's Disease (PD and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

We know that these diseases are incurable at this present moment, but the review sought to find out if any oils could support treatment of the diseases or prolong the growth of the disease.

Their findings were as follows: Essential oils of cinnamon, sage, lavender, orange, lemon, mandarin, lime, ginger and wormwood were the most explored species for these studies. As with most research in essential oils, they concluded that the chemical constituents on 1,8 cineole and carvacol may have significant roles in preventing neurodegenerative disorders.

While the review searched for the above listed 4 diseases, only AD and PD have been researched. However, the results from these studies may bring more research on the other two in the near future.

How do you try this? The great part of essential oils is that they are easy to apply to real life. In this case, a aromastick with a blend of various oils inhaled 3 times a day would fit the studies they did in this review. We can help you at the shop if you have additional questions.

NEW PRODUCT RELEASES!

You will soon start seeing our new labels on our older products, they have been coming in slowly but surely. While our new labels are exciting, we can now release the news of our new products. These products have been developed after a year of being in the store and what our "wish" list has been.

Our first new product is called "Brain Strain". This is a roller ball made to support various types of headaches including migraines. Formulated using the newest research out there, this roller ball should give it's user instant relief of headaches caused by tension, migraines, hormones and the like.

Our next new product is what Bob Ross would call a "happy little accident". In May of 2021, Meredith had a woman come in with a horrible rash all over her hands and arms. She has been to the dermatologist a few times and had creams, pills and shots with no results. She was diagnosed with "unspecified dermatitis". Meredith worked with her for two weeks trying different formulas until she got it. Then she had to formulate a larger bottle for the woman. She intended to make the oil blend at 20 mls. As she was under pressure and multitasking, she made a huge mistake of formulating 200mls instead.

This is how "Eczatonic" came to be. As more people came in with eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, pruritus, bruises from medications, Meredith always went to this original formula as a base because she had so much of it. She eventually found that all her clients that tried it had wonderful results. So she tweaked the most successful formulations with the original and that's how this product was made. Rare and difficult to attain essential oils of Roman Chamomile, Yarrow, Myrrh and others round out this formulation with skin healing antibacterial and antiviral carriers.

Last but not least is our "After Sun Butter". We thank all of you that were our beta testers for this product. We have reformulated for a better consistency as requested! Look for this on our shelves just in time for the hot Florida sun! This should be used right after copious amounts of sun to prevent skin burning, drying and itching.

Beta Testers Needed

We have been asked to look at trying our hands at a wart remover. We all know how difficult they are to get rid of. This is the first project that Rachel has been the research lead and Meredith following her. Together they have come up with a formulation that just may work. If you have a plantars wart on your hands or feet and would like to try the formulation please let us know. It would need to be applied 3 times a day and you would be required to pay $5.00 for the sample and fill out a form at the beginning and end of the test.

Speaker Series: Understanding ThetaHealing with Jo Hughes

Brainwave healing isn't new. A German researcher Heinrich Wilhelm Dove started the basic brainwave research in 1839. In the 1970's Robert Monroe opened The Monroe Institute, a consciousnesses institute that focused on all brain waves not just one. Over time, many people have taken this research and applied it to many healing modalities. There are beta, alpha, delta, theta and gamma waves. These states can be achieved in various ways. Our speaker will be introducing ThetaHealing to our customers.

The ThetaHealing technique is always taught to be used in conjunction with conventional medicine. It teaches how to put to use one's own natural intuition, relying upon unconditional love of Creator Of All That Is to do the actual “work.” We believe by changing your brain wave cycle to include the “Theta” state, you can actually watch the Creator Of All That Is create instantaneous physical and emotional wellbeing. We have learned that through the ThetaHealing Technique intuitive abilities can be used to bring about spontaneous physical and emotional wellbeing.

Jo began studying energy healing about twelve years ago and is now a Certified ThetaHealing® Practitioner and Instructor as well as a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner. Jo supplements these modalities in her practice by using Aromatherapy, Esoteric Healing and Life Coaching. In addition, she uses both ThetaHealing and Healing Touch to work with animals. Jo has a busy energy practice as well as teaches ThetaHealing classes. Jo is also an ordained Independent Unity Minster and comes to her energy practice with a spiritual perspective where her work is very guided by Creator.

Jo is a lifelong learner and continues to study and train herself in additional levels of her modalities and by seeking guidance in her gifts as a Practitioner. She feels her life purpose is: “To be of service to and to bring Love to those who are guided to her by Creator for Health and Wholeness in Mind, Body and Spirit!”
