Since 2017, Faeve Apothecary and its founder, Meredith, have been dedicated to advancing the field of plant-based wellness. Meredith’s journey began in 2015 with her initial studies in aromatic science, driven by a deep appreciation for the synergy, safety considerations, and chemical complexity inherent in botanical ingredients.

The current landscape of plant-based wellness is often compromised by inadequate regulatory oversight, resulting in the proliferation of substandard science, inferior materials, and insufficient education. Meredith’s clinical experience has provided her with a unique perspective on how the human body responds to plant-based interventions, reinforcing Faeve’s commitment to evidence-based, responsible product development.

Throughout our clinical and retail operations, we have gained critical insights into the market’s readiness for various plant-based solutions. Faeve has developed a comprehensive portfolio of products designed for clinical application, addressing needs ranging from pain and neuropathy to skin health and sleep support.

As we gathered feedback, we began to rigorously assess the sustainability and ethical sourcing of our raw materials. We asked ourselves essential questions: Is the formulation justified by the environmental impact of its ingredients? Are our suppliers aligned with our standards for quality and safety? Can these products be used safely over the long term? Is there a genuine demand for each solution? Do we possess sufficient clinical evidence? And fundamentally—what does “plant-based” truly mean in the context of modern wellness?

Over the past decade, Meredith has authored 29 unique formulas, each subjected to clinical evaluation. Through this process, it became clear that bringing effective plant-based wellness products to market requires far more than formulation expertise. It demands a thorough understanding of global sourcing challenges, mass manufacturing processes, scientific validation, and the historical context of botanical medicine—areas seldom addressed in traditional plant science education.

This realization has guided Faeve’s strategic evolution over the past year. We believe that plant-based wellness deserves a thoughtful, rigorous approach in the marketplace. Rather than pursuing the commercialization of all 29 formulas, we have chosen to concentrate our efforts on a singular, impactful wellness goal: pain support.

Pain management is a complex and nuanced field. Our research indicates that consumers are primarily seeking products that either alleviate pain or reduce inflammation. In response, Faeve is now exclusively focused on Kevo-Prophen, our flagship product designed to address these core needs.

While our legacy formulas remain an important part of our history, they are now reserved for future exploration and refinement.
